Luke 8: A Deadly Lovetrap In Berlin release new single, new album on the way

PRESS RELEASE (OSLO, DEC 8TH): Norwegian acoustic lolcore band A Deadly Lovetrap In Berlin have released their new single, “Hello Calendar”, on Brødrene Kleinheart’s Christmas blog. The song is a Christmas inspired hymn made to honor the Scandinavian tradition of putting the advent calendar in the trash bin when all the chocolate is eaten, over the course of the first 24 days of December.

– We live in a consumer society, where we buy, consume and throw away. Nobody wants to keep a chocolate advent calendar when there aren’t any pieces of chocolate left. This song really digs into the problems surrounding this topic. It’s a really important song, tells guitar player and screamer Pusekatten.

The band will also release their yet untitled new album in the second quarter of 2017. This will be the first official release since 2014’s “Goalkeeper EP”. The band hasn’t released a full length since “Grind The Gap” came out in 2008.

– We have a handful of finished songs, and can’t wait to share this album with the world. The songs will be as hard-hitting as before, and we have also incorporated some new sounds, lols and instruments in our music, like drums and lure. We have been hard at work at studio U03 for the past few years, and one song was even recorded at a forgotten cabin in the woods near Rjukan. This is gonna be exciting.
